Leaders & Lures - Illini Clevis

The new clevis is designed for .045" or .051" diameter wire. It works with blade sizes up to and including Colorado Mag #10.

When placing blades on the #6 Illini clevis, make sure the clevis split is to the top of the wire and the arms are parallel.

We recommend using a 3/16" Speed Enhancers above and below the Illini Clevis.  (3/16" beads are also an option)

The additional image shows how to properly install these clevises. Leaders and Lures recommends the #6 clevis be installed 2 different ways.

The first method (method 1), for use on Illini #10 and smaller and Mag #8 Colorado and smaller for casting, should be installed as the picture shows.

The second method (method 2), for trolling and other demanding applications, the clevis can be installed upside down. 

In both cases, there must be a small solid bead below the clevis.
